How can I see your paintings?
This web site has very high quality images of my original paintings. The colour reproduction in these images is accurate. There is also a description including size, and you can click on the painting to see a larger image to zoom in. However, if you would like to see the actual painting, you can contact me and arrange to visit my studio. I am near Brockville, Ontario (75 km east of Kingston; 100 km south of Ottawa.) If this is not convenient, I can provide additional photos or FaceTime streaming of the actual painting. Contact me and we can work something out.
Can you ship paintings?
Yes, I arrange shipping anywhere. I have shipped paintings to Calgary, Muskoka, Toronto, New York, Texas, Australia, England and other places. I package my paintings carefully and use reliable shipping companies. There is an extra charge for shipping. It is usually around $150 for my largest paintings, and much less for smaller ones. Contact me for details.
Are your paintings framed?
No, unless otherwise indicated my paintings are not framed. However, I do finish the sides of the stretched canvases to make them suitable for displaying without frames. This is usually how I display my paintings in my own home. Of course you can choose to frame a painting to suit your tastes. I would be happy to have a painting framed for you.
What hardware do I need to hang paintings?
I include the appropriate brackets on the back of each large painting. If you are hanging a painting on drywall, usually 2 drywall screws will suffice. Paintings hung on plaster walls will require installing 2 plugs and screws.
For smaller paintings, a picture hanging kit is included.
How do I care for my oil paintings?
Simply dust your paintings a couple of times a year. Use a new, soft painter’s brush or lint free cloth. Never use a feather duster. Never spray your paintings with water or cleaner. With proper care your original oil paintings will remain in good shape and become treasured family heirlooms.
